Hello, I’m a maker and iterator.
Here, let me show you…

Over 15 years experience

Web Development

Utilizing common tools like HTML, CSS, and Content Management Systems, I have improved the marketing presence and search engine optimization of a variety of clientele from mom and pop shops to large publications.

UX/UI Design

Figma, Sketch and Adobe have all helped me decrease bounce rate and minimize user friction by creating interfaces that compel visitors and consumers to enjoy and be engaged by their experience.

Software Engineering

I’ve loved using advanced Javascript/Typescript and frameworks like React and Angular to make service offerings truly delightful and help people achieve their goals seamlessly and performantly.

Crafting Seamless User Experiences

  • “It is like a finger pointing to the moon. Don't concentrate on the finger, or you'll miss all the heavenly glory.” - Bruce Lee, Enter the Dragon

Bruce was right; there’s a finger in the way! Don’t fixate on the process of research itself but rather on the broader, more profound objective of enhancing the user experience. Just as concentrating on the finger could lead one to miss the beauty of the moon, overly fixating on research details can lead to losing sight of the ultimate goal of delivering an outstanding user experience. UX research is a means to an end, and its real value is in guiding designers toward creating products and services that users will find exceptional and satisfying.

  • “Think pink! Think pink! When you shop for Summer clothes. Think pink! But don’t wear it or you’ll look like a shrimp.” - Audrey Hepburn, Funny Face

In the field of UX design, "Thinking User-Centric" is the core principle. It encourages designers to prioritize the needs and preferences of the users when creating digital experiences. However, just as wearing too much pink can be overwhelming, overly fixating on user needs to the exclusion of other important design considerations can also be counterproductive.

  • "I'm so sick of people saying that love is just all a woman is fit for. I'm so sick of it. But I'm so lonely!" - Saoirse Ronan, Little Women

In user testing, it's crucial to understand that users have diverse needs and expectations, just as individuals have unique desires beyond societal expectations. Just as Jo March challenges societal norms, designers should challenge assumptions and embrace user feedback to create more inclusive and user-centered experiences.

  • “You treat a disease, you win, you lose. You treat a person, I guarantee you, you'll win, no matter what the outcome.” - Robin Williams, Patch Adams

In the UX design process, treating the user experience as an ongoing, evolving journey, and not just a one-time solution, is key. Iteration, based on user feedback and evolving needs, allows for continuous improvement and ensures a 'win' for the user, no matter the circumstances.
